Aout (August) is the third issue in the series Les Tres Riches Heures de Jean, Duc de Berry collection from the prestigious Henri D'Arceau & Fils factory of Limoges in France. The collection features calendar scenes from the Book of Hours reflecting medieval life in France five hundred years ago. In this instance the month is August and the artist, Jean Dutheil, captures the excitement of the hunt on one of the estates of the Duc de Berry. The excellent condition of the plate allow the vivid colour of the main characters and detailed background the painting to be brought to life. The rich history of the collection is contained in the information accompanying the porcelain plate.
A certificate of authenticity, replicated on the back of the plate, as well as Bradex numbering, ensure that the buyer will have peace of mind when purchasing this quality product. The plate comes in its original box and velvet pouch.
