£24.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Myott, Sons & Co handpainted Art Deco 1930's tropical fruit china milk jug. Myott - Staffordshire Large Creamer. Approx 3 1/4'' tall, 5 1/4 long, 4" wide, 210g. Good condition, some wear to the paint, slight crack to the glaze were handle attaches but no chips.

Art Deco Large Hand-Painted Flowers Plate. Delicate and charming, this plate is hand painted with flowers and grasses. It is a large plate measuring 22.5cm in diameter, 378g. Good condition, some wear to the paint and limescale. Similar to Myott design but not marked. Donated with other Myott piece.

The Myott Pottery is a particularly interesting area for collectors. Established by two brothers in 1898 the pottery produced a range of styles and forms under the Myott name until 1991. Aware of the success of contemporaneous potteries that employed designers such as Clarice Cliff and Susie Cooper, Myott began to produce Art Deco wear in the 1930's. It is these pieces which are currently very collectable.

Myott has a sense of mystery around it as the designers are currently not identified and many crucial records, possibly including pattern books, were destroyed in a fire in 1949. As research develops the pieces are becoming increasingly collectable. Myott is a wonderful and astute investment for those with a taste for Art Deco.

Oxfam Shop Hampstead

Situated in a prime position in Hampstead Village, Oxfam Hampstead has been on this site since 1991. It was recently refurbished and we have around 30 volunteers but are always looking for new people, especially those who have experience in running an online shop. We are also looking for people who wish to gain retail experience and help sort our donations.

We stock a wide range of Fairtrade ecologically sourced and eco-friendly products, as well as a fantastic variety of donated goods, including an excellent women's clothing section with many designer labels. In the homeware section you can always find that special thing you are looking for. Not to forget the popular children's section where we have a wide selection of toys and children's clothes. Our unique selections of bespoke art works and jewellery are some of the best throughout Oxfam.

Once visited one is compelled to return time and again - in fact many of our regular customers visit every day in case they miss something!

Good quality donations including women's clothing, accessories, men's clothing, homewares, children's clothes, toys, jewellery, music and art work are all very welcome.
