A highly collectable item. It is a fine example of early 20th century silver buttonhooks.
It has a silver handle and a steel shaft and hook.
The handle is Birmingham hallmarked sterling silver with a date letter 'O' making it around 100 years old. The makers mark is ALLD which is the 1904 mark for Adie and Lovekin. The handle is hallmarked on both sides. The steel shaft is also marked as ' British make steel'.
It measures approx 7 inches. The handle is approx 2¾ inches long.
It is in excellent condition for it's age, slight age marking to the steel shaft, no holes or pitting. The handle has a few small dent marks only.
