Oxfam Shop Darlington

Darlington is one of the largest Oxfam shops in the country. We sell a large and varied range of good quality mens, womens and childrenswear in a range of labels from High Street to Designer. We also have a range of beautiful Bridalwear and Retro clothing, and a huge choice of accessories to compliment any outfit and occasion.

On the first floor we have a large books and music room with comfortable seating provided, so that you can take your time while browsing and pick the perfect item. We have a vast and ever changing selection of Homewares and Bric-a-Brac, from bargain items to antiques and everything in between. We stock Fairtrade food and drinks, gifts and cards all year round, and we have an amazing Christmas range, with gifts to suit all tastes and budgets.

We also run an Online Shop from our Online Suite, sending high quality clothing, books and records all over the world. We have a Facebook page, full of information on what we do in store and how your support helps fight poverty all over the world.

We have a large and varied team of volunteers, and we are always looking for new people to join our team. We have dozens of opportunities, including Customer Service, Stock Handling, Social Media, Online Sales, Book Sales, and many, many more. If you are interested, please pop in and pick up a Volunteer Application form or download one from the website - we'd love to hear from you! We also welcome any enquiries regarding fundraising, corporate donations or work experience.

Donate items to us

Oxfam shops are always delighted to accept donations of quality undamaged items that you no longer want. Our shop teams are trained to make as much money as possible from your generosity to fund Oxfam's poverty busting work around the world. Items that sell particularly well are current fashion trends, quality paperback fiction and all accessories. And Oxfam is unique in that any textiles that are not sold via our shops are sent to our Wastesaver recycling plant to ensure we make as much money as possible from your generosity.

Meet our volunteers:

Emily

'Volunteering for 4 hours a week is something so simple to do, but you know you're helping to make a worthwhile difference. I've met some incredible people, and made friends for life, and I wouldn't change it for the world'

Gareth

'I started volunteering at Oxfam in 1998, and have worked in lots of locations and a variety of roles. It's a good cause to support, and a good way to get out and to get to know people.'
