A programme for the Festival Ballet at the Stoll Theatre, Kingsway, during the 1951 London Season, with Anton Dolin as Artistic Director. Starring are Alicia Markova and Anton Dolin, as well as Tatiana Riabouchinska, Natalie Krassovska and John Gilpin. The orchestra is conducted by Bryan Balkwill. The full festival repertoire is given, and an insert for Monday May 7th is included, with a programme of: 'Les Sylphides', 'Impressions' and 'Petrouchka'.
The programme is in good condition, with only minimal expected wear and discolouration, and beyond this no marks have been made on the programme or the insert. The outer two pages of the programme have torn along the spine fold from the bottom of the programme to about 2in (4.5cm) above. There are faint impressions on the front cover where the caption of the photo on the other side of the page slightly shows through the paper. The colour of the cover decoration is still bright.
Several ballet-themed advertisements appear at the back of the programme and the reverse of the insert. There are five black & white photographs printed throughout the programme of the five principal dancers, Markova, Dolin, Riabouchinska, Krassovska and Gilpin.
