Product description

Extremely good condition.Printed in 1924 which is stated on the map itself as pictured. Black and white text on one side of the map detailing the exhibition features and a colourful Lithograph map of the exhibition on the reverse side. 2.5 cm closed tear on the right upperhand side of the map and a small hole, see photographs attached. When opened out in full the map itself measures 75.5 cm x 51 cm. Slightly yellowed with age and some foxing. Other than that a very good clear bright copy. This maps exists in many different variations. These variants are in the advert panels and not in the actual map itself. The British Empire Exhibition was a colonial exhibition held at Wembley Park, Wembley, Middlesex in 1924 and 1925, running from 23 April 1924 to 31 October 1925. It was hoped that the Exhibition would strengthen the bonds within the Empire, stimulate trade and demonstrate British greatness both abroad and at home. This map would be a proud part of a collection and would look beautiful if framed and displayed.

Oxfam Books & Music Belper

The Oxfam Books and Music shop in Belper is opposite the Ritz Cinema on the lively and varied King Street. We are just a short walk from the bus and railway stations and from ample free parking at The Coppice (through the Market Square).

The shop has been newly fitted out and is light and spacious - the perfect place to browse our book and music sections. Our extensive book stock covers everything from fiction to specialist. The music section caters for all tastes and includes vinyl, CDs, sheet music and small musical instruments.. We also stock DVDs.

Everything we sell is donated by the generous people of Belper and the surrounding area. We are always looking for new stock and your donations would be welcome.
