A very rare set of coasters tooled in a green leather with "The Queen's Beasts" screen printed on one side. These were produced back in 1978 and come complete in the original box with a booklet listing the history and types of Beasts featured. The Beasts are: The Lion of England, The Griffin, The Falcon, The White Lion, The Black Bull, The Yale, The White Greyhound, The Red Dragon of Wales, The Unicorn of Scotland, The White Horse, The Lion of Prince Michael of Kent and The Ram of the Leathersellers' Company.
On the reverse side of each coaster reads "1978 Commemorating the admission of H.R.H. Prince Michael of Kent as the first Royal Liveryman of The Leathersellers' Company and the opening, by him, of The National Leathersellers' Centre. 1953 The royal Beasts erected at Westminster Abbey for Her Majesty's Coronation were designed by James Woodford who also designed Scrolls and Furniture for the Company's New Hall "
