Boxed set of six KP Friar ceramic figures

£27.99

Product description

Boxed set of six KP Friar ceramic figures
The K. P. Friars set was commissioned by K. P. Foods, Ltd. to promote the sales of it’s potato crisps (chips) and they were manufactured in England by Wade.
This promotion comprised of a set of six miniature “Friars” and was limited to the United Kingdom only.
The first figurine of the set was free, but the remaining Friars could only be obtained by submitting proof of purchase of a certain number of potato chip packages plus a service charge.
This was probably one of the reasons that the first figurine, Father Abbot, is the most easily found. Brothers, Crispin, Angelo and Francis are the hardest to find.
Each model stands on a square base, with the name of the Friar embossed on the front. They each measure 1 5/8 inches high with a ¾ of an inch square base.
Father Abbot ... the “Founder of the Famous KP Friary”
Brother Peter who “Tends the KP Friary Potato Patch”
Brother Benjamin who “Bags the Best Foods in the Land”
Brother Crispin who “Makes Sure KP are the Crispiest Crisps ever Created” .
Brother Angelo “Keeper of the Good Book of Delicious KP Recipes:
Brother Francis who “Delivers KP Fast and Fresh from the Friary.
