King George V Flag

£99.99

Product description

This is a genuine piece of British history from the beginning of the 20th century @1910. Close your eyes to be in that post-Edwardian era, the global spread of the British Empire ensuring that the sun never sets on it, and wave your flag high as its still on its original stick.
George V was the first British monarch belonging to the House of Windsor and inherited the throne following the sudden death of his elder brother King Edward VII. The coronation took place at Westminster Abbey on 22 June 1911. As well as being King of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth Realms, George was the Emperor of India and the first King of the Irish Free State. George reigned from 6 May 1910 through World War I (1914–1918) until his death.

Being over 100 years old there are signs of some of the colours fading, as would be expected, but the integrity of the flag is still good.
Flag size approx 88cms x 55cms.
