The Queen, the death of her Majesty Queen Mary

£10.99

About this item

Comemorative Magazine in great condition. Purple mourning cover with a picture of roses, carnations and lillies. Fabulously illustrated in black and white 1950's photographs and a few colour plates on the inside of the cover e.g. Newberry fruits advert. A great and unusual piece of history. Obivously aimed at ladies there are a large number of fashion adverts for shirt waister dresses, coursets etc. There is a double page covering the funeral and a photographic tribute. I have just noticed that someone has completed 75% of the crossword fairly discreetly. It does not really detract from a rather wonderful vingtage item.

Oxfam Books & Music Olney

Welcome to Oxfam Books And Music Olney, situated just off the market square in Stanley Court opposite the Co-Op. Come and browse our extensive selection of books, music, DVDs, computer games and cards. In our shop you can discover a great range of material from the latest modern fiction to classic literature and vintage LPs. We are always happy to receive your donations of books or music, and you can choose to Gift Aid them to Oxfam. We might also be able to collect particularly large donations - just ask. We are always interested in hearing from people who wish to volunteer with us. Just pop in to collect an application form.

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
