Bespoke tailored overcoat from 1957 in dark charcoal. Presumed wool, heavyweight and satin lined. Label in the pocket says "AE Johnson, Tailors, 158 Belgrave Road, Birmingham 12. For Mr. Coles, April, 1957."
In beautiful condition, with almost no signs of wear on coat or lining.
Classic styling with three front buttons hidden by a placket. Outer pockets with flaps, and three inner pockets with satin bindings. Semi-fitted cut, with single back vent. Everything hand finished and in lovely condition.
Cut to fit about a modern size 40 chest, regular length.
Centre back length, excluding collar, 41ins.
Garment chest measurement, outside, is 42ins. Back of shoulders, seam to seam, 17.25ins. Armpit to cuff, 18ins. Outside arm, from neckline over the shoulder and around the elbow to the cuff: 31ins.
A real classic that still looks great. And would keep you warm whatever wind might blow.
