The Complete Season 1 (23 Episodes, 6 Discs, Run Time Approx 19 Hours) - The year was 1878, teh rush for land was on, and among the many who sought a new life in the new land were the Ingalls: Charles, his young wife Caroline and their three daughters Mary, Laura and Carrie. Packing their few belongings into a wagon, they said goodbye to friends and relatives and joined the trek westward that would lead them to their new home in Plum Creek, on the plains of Minnesota. The Ingalls, pursuing the American dream come to realise that they will have to fight for every inch of soil they turn... for every foot of ground they plant. Fight against disease, nature, local predujices and the rigours of a hostile environment. The episodic adventures of the Ingalls family are based on the remembrances of the late Laura Ingalls Wilder, whose ''Little House'' books paint a realistic picture of pioneer life on the western fringes of the country over 100 years ago.
The Complete Season 2 (21 episodes, 6 discs, approx run time 17 hours) - Ran from 1975 to 1976. Charles must work at several jobs to pay off their debts while the entire family pitches in. Laura makes a new friend and helps him get over his grief. Charles promises a dying widow that he will care for her three children. Walnut Grove sees the opening of its first bank. Mary becomes the pride and joy of the town. The sensitive subject of drug abuse is addressed in the second to last episode entitled 'Soldier's Return'. These and all the other exciting adventures from the entire second season are presented in this Collectors Edition.
The Complete Season 3 (22 episodes, 6 discs, approx run time 17 hours) - Little House on the Prairie follows the simple frontier lives of the Ingalls family during the late 1800's. In season 3 the family find their courage and relationships tested to the limit as both mother nature and the twists of fate conspire against them.
