Sherlock Holmes Multipack

Product description

The Final Problem/ The Empty House:
In 'The Final Problem' Sherlock Holmes has been in Paris to investigate the theft of the Mona Lisa by a master criminal. In 'The Empty House' it is three years since Sherlock Holmes died and the world is a dispiriting place for Dr John Watson, who still keenly feels the loss of his colleague and friend.

The Greek Interpreter/ The Norwood Builder
Jeremy Brett stars as Sherlock Holmes in these two adaptations from the classic ITV series. In 'The Greek Interpreter' Sherlock's older brother Mycroft introduces Holmes and Watson to his Greek interpreter friend, Mr Melas. They soon find themselves attempting to discover the identity of the young Greek man covered in sticking plaster and his mysterious lady friend, Sophy. In 'The Norwood Builder' young solicitor John McFarlane appears at Baker Street with the police hot on his trail to beg for Holmes' help in proving his innocence. Was he responsible for the untimely death of Mr Oldacre and did he burn Oldacre's house, Lower Norwood, to the ground? Time is against Holmes as he races to determine the truth.

The Three Gables/ The Dying Detective
Two more cases for the illustrious Baker Street sleuth. In 'The Three Gables', Holmes (Jeremy Brett) suspects foul play when an old lady - whose grandson has only recently passed away - calls him in regarding the proposed purchase of her home and possessions. 'The Dying Detective' sees Holmes hatching an elaborate plot to trap the cunning Culverton Smith, whom he believes has poisoned a prominent banker.
