Ravel: Menuet sur le nom d’Haydn, À la manière de …Chabrier, À la manière de … Borodin

Borodin: Scherzo, Serenade from “Petite Suite”
Couperin: Tic-Toc-Choc

Anne Riegler (piano) Julia Sauer*(soprano)

What do an Opera Aria by Gounod and a short Serenade by Borodin have in common? They both served as models for two short piano pieces
by Maurice Ravel: Portraits of other composers. Anne Riegler offers in her debut CD a perspective on Ravel's music that is unique in its
approach. All piano works in which Ravel names and refers to other composers are paired with original compositions of those portrayed
composers, resulting in an exceptional journey through all periods of music history from Couperin to Ravel.

Oxfam Bookshop Bath

The Bath Oxfam Books and Music shop has been open since 2001. We stock a wide selection of books, vinyl, cds and dvds but always welcome donations to keep our shelves full and interesting. Following our shop refit in 2009 we have a modern, bright and spacious interior where customers are welcome to browse at their leisure. We do not specialise in any one area but often seem to do particularly well with History books and Vinyl. Thanks to the wonderful donations we receive on a daily basis through the door, and from our local Book Banks, we offer our customers a fantastic range of stock both in the shop and online. Please come and see for yourselves!
