Britten: A Midsummer Nights Dream Highlights. Decca Stereo LP SET 397 with booklet/insert. LSO Benjamin Britten, Alfred Deller, Peter Pears, Heather Harper, JohnShirley-Quirk, Robert Tear etc . Disc appears to be in good condition with just a couple of minor surface scuffs. Inner sleeve is in decent, intact condition with some tanning around the edges. Insert/booklet is in very good condition. Outer sleeve is in generally good, intact condition with a little shelf wear and minor creasing around the front edges. A wonderful selection of a highlights from a definitive performance of this great opera recorded at the Aldeburgh Festival on June 11th 1960, conducted by the composer himself and featuring the London Symphony Orchestra and a cast of the very best singers of the day.
