Richard Strauss (1864 - 1949) is considered one of the great composers of the 20th Century, his music ranging from Operas such as Der Rosenkavalier, to the song cycle, Four Last Songs written after the end of the 2nd World. Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks (Op. 28), is a tone poem by Richard Strauss, chronicling the misadventures and pranks of the German peasant folk hero War. He composed it in 1894. Don Quixote, Op. 35, is for cello, viola and large orchestra. The work is based on the novel Don Quixote by Cervantes.

Rudolf Kempe (1910 - 1976) was a world famous German conductor. He succeeded Georg Solti as chief conductor of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich from 1952 to 1954, Kempe and was associated with the Royal Philharmonic (RPO) from 1955.

The sleeve condition is good but age markings on the back. The disc is in excellent condition.
