Minimalist music from the early 80s by composers John Adams and Steve Reich. Eight Lines is a rescoring of Reich's 1979 piece Octet, whilst Vermont Counterpoint is one of a series of pieces Reich wrote for individual instrumentalists playing live over layers of multitracked lines. In this case, Ransom Wilson plays the flute, in concert with his multiple recorded selves. John Adams' Grand Pianola Music is a light, parodic piece for a small orchestra of winds, percussion, sopranos and two pianos, played here by the Solisti New York conducted by Randon Wison. Vinyl is in excellent/near mint condition.
