Product description

Formed in the Cotswolds, in 1974, the Old Swan Band got together, as a group of folk musicians, who wanted more prominence given to the mine of English folk material, and styles, that were largely, they felt, ignored by other folk musicians, who were instead concentrating on Celtic styles / tunes.

All the material on this album - except for "The Crabfish Stepdance" composed by band Melodeonist Rob Stradling - comes from that mine of English folk traditions, and songs.
