Information on Bach’s youth -surprisingly, for such a famous composer - is few and far-between. What is known, is that he sometimes copied manuscripts of music, by composers, such as Froberger, Fischer, Pachelbel, Keril, Buxtehude, Bruhns, and Bohm. He would often, also, regularly journey to Hamburg, to hear the organist Johann Adam Reinken (this was around the turn of the 17C/18C’s).
