The booklet includes original release information, color photographs, and liner notes by Bill Zehme, Barry Manilow, Clive Davis and other Manilow collaborators as well as a one-hour home video.Personnel include: Barry Manilow (vocals, piano, keyboards); Hinton Battle, K.T. Oslin, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Lily Tomlin, Mel Torme, Melissa Manchester, Michael Crawford, Barbara Cook, Bette Midler, Mirielle Mattieu (vocals).Liner Note Author: Bill Zehme.Recording information: 1971 - 1992.After his start as Bette Midler's musical director and producer, Barry Manilow began his own rise to fame with the 1973 hit "Could It Be Magic." In 1974, with his first #1 hit, "Mandy," he claimed the sentimental romantic ballad as his own. His mastery of the form earned him a string of hit songs and albums from "Mandy" through 1983's HERE COMES THE NIGHT. Since the mid-80's Manilow's expanded his focus to include jazz (1984's 2:00 A.M. PARADISE CAFE) and showtunes (1991's SHOWSTOPPERS).
