A box set of 3 vinyl LPs featuring George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Leon Russell and Eric Clapton. The recordings were produced by George Harrison and Phil Spector following concert events held on the afternoon and evening of August 1, 1971, at Madison Square Garden in New York, in aid of the homeless Bengali refugees suffering floods, famine and civil war. The set has been well cared for with only a few light marks on the covering box; one lid corner is split. The LPs are held in three clean brown paper sleeves; one has an edge-tear, approx. 2mm. All three records have only a few light surface marks. Includes a 64-page book (in fine condition), including excerpts from an interview with Ravi Shankar, and colour pictures from the concert. Our illustration is from the booklet cover.
