This prog rock classic record is a very rare first pressing with A1/B1 matrix numbers. The gatefold cover is in excellent condition, with the distinctive tri-fold cover including the tab. The art work is colourful and clear. As the record was part of a classical record donation - 'no jazz, no Beatles' - according to the donor, it is suspected that the LP was purchased in error and collected dust at the back of an extensive collection of a completely different genre. Salamander suffered from a similar fate - when released in 1971 the record sold poorly and was soon withdrawn. The style of music, with Hammond organ and lush strings, is comparable with Deep Purple or Moody Blues but light years away in terms of its commercial success. Sadly it was the band's first and last recording. There are no obvious spindle marks, the disc looks virtually unplayed and can be classified as excellent/near mint. Valued at £400 in the Record Collector RRPG 2014.

Records graded visually to RRPG grades (record/sleeve). [EX/NM] We recommend the record is cleaned by a professional to maximise the sound quality.
