Brilliant books are bringing education to life for children like Sherlyn Jargbah in Liberia. She’s a member of the girls’ club at Gray D. Alison School in Montserrado County. Oxfam Unwrapped funded teaching and learning supplies including schoolbooks for 12 public schools in her region.
Now and Sherlyn and her classmates are better informed, the whole school has been totally transformed. Lessons are lively and the whole class is making great progress.
She says: “I am 18-years-old and in the 9th grade at Gray D. Alison Elementary School. I understand that Oxfam want to help girls get a good education so that they will be someone useful tomorrow. This is very kind of them. They help us to stay in school, study well and interact with different people properly.”
