A Series of Picturesque Views of Seats of Noblemen and Gentlemen of Great Britain and Ireland

£29.99

Product description

Volume 1 of a series.
Contains watercolour views of 40 seats of the nobility each with a brief history and/or description of the major contents. Bound in terracotta cloth with sumptuously ornate stamped decoration in black and gilt.
The cover is mildly scuffed on the edges and the interior is mildly foxed in places, but each watercolour plate is beautiful, and would be suitable for framing if desired.
The information section on Floors Castle is detached from the book, as are a few others, also some of plates, but all pages are present and in place, although many are slightly toned around the edges. With gilt text block edges and subtly tinted plates, this is an attractive book of high quality.
The image is of Garnstone in Herefordshire.
