Art on Nantucket

£75.00

Product description

This beautiful book has proved a best-seller since its publication in 1982, and contains a comprehensive collection of the art produced on the island of Nantucket from 1717 to the mid-20th century.

The author is a specialist in all things related to Nantucket, and has also written on Melville's 'Moby Dick' and the art of Vermeer.

The book is in immaculate condition, being number 374 of a limited edition of 500 presentation copies signed by Robert A. diCurcio (total limited edition numbered 2000 copies). Bound in blue cloth, with a pastedown cover illustration, it is protected by an undamaged dustjacket with a clear plastic protective cover. It is further protected by a blue card slipcase (with another pastedown illustration) which is slightly sun-faded at the edges, but otherwise undamaged. An almost perfect copy of a seminal book.
