Cyril Wilson - Dowser, Artist, Healer

£34.99

Product description

Cyril Wilson is described in Cordelia Oliver's foreword as an artist of 'exceptional creativity'. Certainly the variety of works reproduced here indicate the breadth of his interest in the world and its wonders.

Cyril Wilson (1911-2001) is regarded as a Scottish artist/teacher although he was actually born in High Wycombe, Bucks. He studied art in Reading and taught at the Abbey College of Art Summer School for many years. From 1948 Wilson lived near Dumfries in Scotland, although later he spent part of each year in Ibiza. Noted for his organic style which, at times, contains echoes of Graham Sutherland, he was also known as a healer and dowser.

Our copy of this now scarce book is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear apart from some very minimal creasing near the R/H top of the back cover. No publisher stated, but printed by Solway Offset. Binding tight, many illustrations. Signed by Wilson on the title page.
