Elements of Reinsurance Technique - Calculation

£75.00

Product description

This book is the third in a series produced in India in the mid-20th century to assist anyone studying actuarial mathematics. Previous volumes dealt with 'Statics' and 'Dynamics', but were not essential to an appreciation of this 'Calculation' text. The editor's preface explains: "....the advanced staff and see the problems of their daily work systematically analysed and the underwriter can use it for current reference".

H. L. Mathrawala was the founder of Mathrawala & Sons, one of the oldest Reinsurance Broking houses in India, which was established as a partnership in 1973 and converted to a Private Limited Company on 5th April 1989.

Our book is in good condition for its age, protected by a somewhat grubby cream dust jacket with the title etc printed in black on the front within a black border, and the copyright date on the back. The jacket is a little torn in places, and slightly creased here and there, but is in generally good condition. The book itself is bound in red cloth with the same black lettering and border on the front cover, and the copyright details on the back. There are only minimal signs of wear at the top & bottom of the spine, with a little irregularity in the covering of the spine itself. Inside, the binding is firm and all pages clean and bright. The book is slightly warped vertically (see photos).
