About this item

Fair Trade sewing box covered in white cotton fabric with blue rose and tiny olive green polkadot design. It has a padded lid with 'make and mend' embroidered on top. Inside it has a fabric pocket and a small pin cushion. It has a lift out three compartment tray for accessories. Matching items available.

How this gift helps

These beautiful embroidered handicrafts are from Touch of India in Delhi. Touch of India carries out most of its work with Muslim minorities and provides excellent company benefits to its workforce. It aims to preserve traditional embroidery techniques such as Kantha embroidery, Zardozi and Aari work. All the sequin and bead embroidery is done by hand, so the work is extremely labour-intensive and is highly skilled.
