Houses for Moderate Means

£39.99

Product description

This book contains almost one hundred photographs and plans of houses, from traditional-style thatched cottages to white, modernist, artistic statements, with building costs between £500 and £2000 at the time of publishing (1939).
It was compiled by the editor of Homes and Gardens at that time, and the contents would be of interest to many, although property prices have increased phenomenally since then.
Although the dust jacket is slightly soiled, the edges are chipped, there is a diagonal tear from top back of spine approx 6 cm long and a split 4 cm in from the back fold, which at the top is1.5 cm long, the text on the rear of the jacket and the front photographic illustration remain clear and legible.
The end papers are mildly foxed but all text pages are clear and crisp; b/w photographs and graphic plans of the houses are appealing and rather fascinating.
