Look to Windward

£55.00

Product description

Sixth in the 'Culture' series of SF novels by this award-winning author, 'Look to Windward' is a powerful and extraordinary work of imagination - a masterpiece of science fiction.

Iain M Banks (1954-2013) - also writing as 'Iain Banks' - created masterful novels in both the science fiction and the general fiction form. His books have been adapted for theatre, radio and television. In 2008, The Times named Banks in their list of "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945". In April 2013, Banks announced that he had inoperable cancer and was unlikely to live beyond a year. He died on 9 June 2013.

Our book is in almost immaculate condition, bound in black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, and in an almost-perfect, unclipped, dust jacket. The pages appear lightly tanned, but this effect is so general and even that it may simply be a function of the paper quality. The author's signature is in biro on the title page. The only visible blemish on the book is a small white mark on the front cover., and there is a minimal amount of wear to the top edge of the D/J. An excellent first edition, signed, copy.
