Robinson. A fourth volume was added to the second edition of 1796" This publication is about one-half the length of the original work. The author herself was an enthusiastic republican who observed the revolutionary events in France at first hand. The work is a comprehensive study of a fascinating period of world history and of a central figure within it. The book is in reasonable condition for its age though many of the pages are worn at the end. The owners name (from 1933) is written on the flyleaf.
