Printed for the Author at the Chiswick Press, First Edition Octavo, 166 pp., five inserted plates with color illustrations by the author as well as numerous black and white drawings, some full page by Thomas in text, original green pictorial cloth, front panel stamped in black and gold, spine panel stamped in gold.

Stories about insects for young readers based on the author's nature studies with her delicate drawings, several in color, complementing the text.

Two pages including a colour plate are loose, but the cover and pages are in quite good condition - see photographs.
