The George Moore Collection - Volume 5: 1889-1890

£14.99

Product description

This book is copy 507 of a limited edition of 1000 copies published in 1982.

It is difficult to scan the pages of this volume without feeling envious - at least, that is, if you are a cyclist in these very difficult days. Those were the days of epic rides which are still admirable today, of times when cyclists assembled at camps all over the country in canvas villages where one club would strive to outdo the next in a show of temporary finery. Of times when the cyclist was still the king - even if from time to time he did have to defer to an oncoming horse and buggy!

The book itself is in good condition although the top corners are very slightly bent. The outer cover has a tear at the top right hand corner (see photo) and is generally showing signs of wear.
