The Life and Works of William Cowper Complete in one Volume

£39.99

Product description

Written in 1851 to include Cowper's private correspondence. The author set out to provide the whole of the life works of Cowper in one volume which had not been attempted until this time.

A heavy book with green boards decoratively embossed in gold on front and rear. The spine has raised bands and is also heavily embossed and titled. There is scuffing to all edges of boards and the top of the spine has heavier scuffing and has a one cm tear. Gilt is applied to all page edges. There is foxing to the ffep's, introductory pages and to all full page plates. One of the end pages has been rather roughly removed leaving some tags. Waterstains can be seen on the inside of the rear cover and on a few pages nearby. There are no apparent markings on the pages.

An impressive tome to sit on the bookshelf.
