Doctor in the House by Richard Gordon
About this item
An uproarious account of a young doctors struggle to qualify. The first of a series of books following Gordons trials and tribulations in gaining his doctors qualifications and made into a humorous series of films very popular in the fifties. First published in 1952 by Michael Joseph Ltd., London, reprinted 1956. The dust jacket has worn edges and there is a tear at the spine. There is a small name and date inscription on the inside of the front cover but the 190 cream pages are little yellowed and all bound firmly. The black hardboard covers are in superb condition with gilt lettering and white illustrations on the spine. A great read.
