A novel published in 1890 illustrated throughout the book by Paul Hardy.
The pink cloth cover is decorated but the spine decoration has faded off. There is quite a lot of bumping to the top and lower end of the spine and on the corners of the front. There is some splitting of the fep from the spine and the binding remains firm. There is an inscription dated 1890 in the front of the book. The is very faint foxing on the title page but not found anywhere else.
280 pp plus 8 pages of advertisements of other books by the same publisher.
