About this item
A good example of a c1950's traveling chess set in lovely condition with all pieces present . The box is covered in a faux snake skin paper and has a neat little brass clasp to keep the box closed as well as a hinged lid with brass hinges. The board is of two tones of wood with lettering and numbering along each side. The pieces are standard Staunton style and cast in a plastic type material.
The paper on the top of the box does have some damge as pictured, a little of it has been torn away. There is general wear to the rest of the paper covering however, the pieces are perfect and sit quite tightly in the holes provided.
