Vintage 1960s Egerton Burnetts Size 12 Dark Navy Wool Blazer Wth Intricate Gold Work.

£45.00

Product description

SOFT CORPS - As seen in Vogue as one of the big 7 trends this autumn here is our own take, which combines the dark, bold character of military cuts and styles, with shimmering and sparkling metallic fabrics, beading and goldwork embroidery to bring out the intricate detailing of the military uniform.

This a really unique piece by a well established company with lots of historical importance and heritage. This piece is estimated at being 1960s however it could be much earlier, seen as the company established in the late 1800s. The most eye catching detail to this jacket is the pocket detail: the intricate gold work depicts a crown adorned with jewels and interlocking typography. The blazer is a wool mix with three front pockets and is partially lined inside with shoulder pads.

This genuine heritage item would look great worn as a contemporary fashion piece possibly over a metallic ball gown to really bring out the sparkle in the gold work. Team with some heels, to reinvent this item far from its origional purpose and wear.

Minor imperfections include:
- slight staining on the front, collar and inside on the left armpit.
- tearing of the lining of the right shoulder
- slight bobbling on the inside left sleeve,
