This is a vibrant blue vintage cardigan with flowers by celebrated knitwear designer Beth Brett.
The material is cotton feel, it has a round neck and fastens with five clear plastic buttons down the front. The front and sleeves are decorated with bright orange and pink flowers with green leaves. These are adorned with beads and sequins. A striped and checked border decorates the cuffs and hem and a bright pink stripe edges the front.
This is an example of the decorated knitwear designs of Beth Brett from the 1980's. Her work is archived in the Fashion and Textile department of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
This is a useful vintage cardigan that could be worn with jeans or over a dress for many occasions.
