About this festival

WOMAD is an international organisation, bringing together artists from all over the globe. The 'World of Music Arts and Dance' aims to excite, inform and to create awareness of the worth and potential of a multicultural society. The festival features artists covering a huge range of styles and genres, representing a variety of countries and cultures.

Prepare to discover amazing talents you've never heard of alongside those you have. Add in a fantastic choice of food and art installations throughout the site all of which takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Charlton Park in Wiltshire, with stages in the main arena and the arboretum if you're seeking shade in a leafy tranquil space. It even has a spa! This is a laid-back and family friendly festival, attracting a diverse audience and a range of ages. It's a fantastic way to gain that big festival stewarding experience on a smaller scale. Imagine the fringes of Glastonbury with a tenth of the people!
