Stewarding structure

As an Oxfam festival steward you're at the centre of a structure that stretches right the way to festival management and makes sure everyone is supported.

How the roles fit together...

The majority of the 5,000 people who volunteer with us are stewards, but we also have a number of roles that give people the opportunity to take on more responsibility. These roles are vital to making sure our operation works effectively. If you're interested in being a Steward Supervisor or taking on one of the roles in our Shift Management Team, let us know in your application. The Shift Management Team report into our Stewarding Coordinators,  the Oxfam staff that organise our stewarding presence each year.

Stewards and Supervisors

Shift Management Team

The Shift Management Team help run our operation from Stewards Control, which is located on-site and is often referred to as Oxbox. This team is made up of Shift Leaders, Deputy Shift Leaders, Drivers and Radio Comms Operators. We also have Logistics Coordinators who assist with the set-up and breakdown of the stewarding operation before and after the festival. If you have volunteered with Oxfam at a number of festivals, feel you have the relevant experience and would like to take on one of these roles, please let us know on your application.
