There are many reasons to steward with Oxfam. Below are just a few of them. We'd love you to get involved.

A unique way to experience festivals

A separate place to camp, and crew facilities

Oxfam stewards have their own campsite with toilets and hot showers. Occasionally this area may be shared with other crews, but is always separate from public camping. We'll also give you a meal ticket for each shift and 24 hour tea and coffee.

An opportunity to see the other side of the festivals

Working as a steward can involve being in many interesting situations.  Throughout your shifts and in your free time you will get a real understanding  of  how festivals work.

Make new friends, gain new skills

Be part of a well-established community

Stewarding for Oxfam is fun! In our survey, lots of stewards stated one of the main reasons they return to steward is because of the friends they make along the way.

Gain new skills and events experience

Oxfam stewarding looks good on your CV, another reason to get on board. It also gives you the chance to learn new skills, in a diverse environment. You can use your Oxfam stewarding experience towards your Duke of Edinburgh award.

Guidance and support

Stewarding training

All Oxfam stewards receive a three-hour training session, equipping them with the necessary skills to complete their role with confidence. Training is compulsory for all new stewards and must be refreshed every four years.

A fully supported experience

All Oxfam stewards will be supported by a supervisor throughout their shifts. When you arrive on site, we'll give you a full briefing  and a stewarding guide.  The Oxfam stewarding team is available 24 hours a day throughout the festival.
