An international challenge

680x150

Trailtrekker is now in its fifth year but its family history goes back over 30 years with Oxfam's international 100km event - Trailwalker. It's a challenge concept known and respected the world over.

Trailtrekker around the world

Trailwalker began in 1981 as a military training exercise for the elite Queen's Gurkha Signals Regiment in Hong Kong. It has since grown into one of the world's leading team endurance challenges.

With 16 events in 12 countries and counting, Trailwalker is fast becoming a worldwide phenomenon. Globally, the events have raised more than £60 million for Oxfam's valuable work around the world. In 2012 more than 22,000 people collectively walked over 2.2 million kilometres (the same distance as walking around the world 55 times!), becoming great ambassadors for Oxfam's work and aiming to raise over £10 million.

Trailwalker UK takes place near Brighton and is still run by the Gurkhas. It celebrates its 10th anniversary in the UK in 2013.
