The challenge

Trailtrekker is the ultimate endurance challenge. You'll need to get your team of four 40, 65 or 100km across the Yorkshire Dales in under 30 hours. Is it tough? Of course. Is it worth it?

Absolutely.

Or we can post you a copy of the brochure.

Set up to test teamwork, endurance and determination, Trailtrekker is the ultimate physical and mental challenge. You'll need to motivate and encourage each other from start to finish to get the job done, so be prepared to pull together to achieve something astonishing.

The other vital team is your Support Crew - friends and family who'll meet you at checkpoints along the route to provide supplies and encouragement. Their help carrying your gear and giving you morale boosts you really cannot do without. Or if you prefer, Oxfam can provide you with a Support Crew as part of our Full Support Package. Nice and easy.

It'll be one of the hardest things you ever take on, but the sense of achievement you'll get when you cross the finish line will blow you away.

The route

The Trailtrekker course is a circular 100km route through the rugged and dramatic Yorkshire Dales. You'll pass through the incredible Malham Cove with its natural limestone pavements, and climb to the top of the famous Fountains Fell - over 650m at the summit! The terrain is varied, with moorland, scree slopes and green valleys all appearing throughout. It really is beautiful - and tough.

Choose your distance

There are three Trailtrekker distances: Bronze (40km), Silver (65km) and Gold (100km), and it's completely up to you and your team which you go for. Whichever option you choose, it'll be a huge challenge - and one you won't forget anytime soon. We also offer a full support package, leaving you to focus on the walking while we worry about the logistics.

Trailtrekker is just one of 16 events across 11 countries worldwide that make up the Trailwalker family of events.

You can find out more about the history and location of each one on the Trailwalker International website. It really is a global phenomenon and incredibly interesting to see the similarities (and differences) across the events. Check it out.
