Trailwalker began in 1981 as a military training exercise for the elite Queen's Gurkha Signals Regiment in Hong Kong. It has since grown into one of the world's leading team endurance challenges.
With 16 events in 12 countries and counting, Trailwalker is fast becoming a worldwide phenomenon. Globally, the events have raised more than £60 million for Oxfam's valuable work around the world. In 2012 more than 22,000 people collectively walked over 2.2 million kilometres (the same distance as walking around the world 55 times!), becoming great ambassadors for Oxfam's work and aiming to raise over £10 million.
Trailtrekker takes place in the Yorkshire Dales. It celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2013 and is even tougher than Trailwalker!
