Your impact

Trailwalker teams are made of strong stuff and they show it in their fundraising. Because let's face it - when you agree to trek 100km, you'll soon be ready for anything.

Cash for Work workers sing and dance on their way to work in the rice fields in River Gee county, Liberia.

Last year teams raised...

£1.3 million

£150,000 could support an Oxfam project in Liberia for a year and restore the livelihoods of over 700 farmers, whose farms and means of feeding their families were damaged by civil war. Five years ago, most of these farmers had to rely on food aid.

£25 for a goat

Goats provide much-needed milk to drink and sell, fertiliser for crops and kids to take to market.

£700 Could help rebuild a Gurkha's home

after it has been destroyed by flood or fire.

£3214 - could pay for a water tank.

In emergencies, water tanks allow us to provide water to hundreds of familes living in temporary camps.

Your impact in emergencies

For water and shelter, many people in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo must travel an incredible distance.

Recent violence has forced tens of thousands of people to flee to camps across the border.

Families have had to settle far from existing water.

5-year-old Innocent and his friends have set out to collect water at 7am from a pump 4km away. Five hours later, the little water gang returns back to their tents with the precious water their families will use that day.

Oxfam is responding right now to this situation, delivering clean water to more than 25,000 refugees. By drilling new boreholes and constructing water pumps, fresh, safe water will soon be flowing closer to the community.

The power of the money you raise is that it can be used straight away, to answer emergencies, cross distances and put water back in reach.

The Gurkha Welfare

The GWT relieves poverty and distress amongst Gurkha ex-servicemen and their dependants. Money raised by Trailwalker UK in 2013 will be used to provide financial and medical aid to the most destitute Gurkhas who rely absolutely on the Trust for a dignified old age as well as community aid projects in Gurkha villages in Nepal.
