Thank you

Your gifts have helped to provide clean drinking water for so many children in Niger.

Thanks to your generous gifts for the last couple of months, Oxfam's clean drinking water project in Niger has already started work to repair 11 wells.

Together with the clean water we are providing to specialist malnutrition centres, these will provide local people with reliable sources of clean drinking water, and protect children from water-borne diseases, for years to come.

Continue to support this project

Your donation could help us install new water points in 10 clinics - 500 litre tanks where water can be treated and stored so that medical staff can wash patients and equipment. Alongside hygiene initiatives to stop illnesses from dirty water, this will help to reduce malnutrition for an amazing 12,000 parents and their children.

My little daughter Aissa was sick with stomach pains, frequent diarrhoea and vomiting. At the clinic she received treatment and recovered quickly, and I learnt about hand-washing and the need to keep our living environment sanitary. I shared all this knowledge with the village, and since then Aissa has been healthy. I feel so happy to see my daughter healthy!

There is a small chance that we will raise more money than is needed for this project. If this happens, we'll spend any additional funds on other Oxfam projects - wherever the need is greatest.
