Kiri Hanks

Kiri Hanks is a policy adviser in the food and climate justice team, and leads Oxfam International's fossil fuels and energy policy work. She started work at Oxfam GB as a climate change policy adviser. Kiri has recently authored reports for Oxfam including Let Them Eat Coal, and The EU's 2030 Climate and Energy Package: Fit for a food and energy secure world? and has contributed to a number of Oxfam publications from climate finance, to private sector climate change initiatives.

Prior to joining Oxfam, Kiri spent a number of years as a political researcher for MEPs in the European Parliament, working on climate change and health legislation (including tobacco regulation), as well as development issues. She has a Masters in EU Studies from the College of Europe in Warsaw, Poland.
