Laura Eldon

Laura is an advisor on applications of Information Communications Technologies in Oxfam's humanitarian response and longer-term resilience building programmes. She has worked on a number of initiatives including developing new and innovative methodologies around Protection information gathering in Jordan and the Philippines, leading cross-departmental streams of work focusing on mobile data collection and GIS, and project managing a collaboration with World Vision to pilot their LMMS digital beneficiary management technology. She is managing a three-year strategic grant focusing on scaling up ICTs in humanitarian programming across the project cycle and works across Oxfam's Global Humanitarian Team to drive forwards the organisation's ICT in humanitarian programmes strategy.

Laura began working for Oxfam in 2004. She initially worked in digital communications, where she held a number of posts, before shifting to focus on the use of ICTs in programme. Laura has been seconded to work in a number of emergency responses in information management and communications roles in locations across the Middle East, East Africa and Asia.
