Festival Fashion Trend Watch: Denim at Glastonbury 2013

It's my first day back at my desk, and the Glastonbury blues are beginning to sink in… The carpeted floors of the office just can't compare to the muddy fields of Glastonbury, with the brilliant Oxfam Festival Shop Team and the faint sounds of live music in the background.

Known for its festival fashion almost as much as its music, Glastonbury plays host to thousands of well-dressed fashion-loving festival goers and it was our job to find the cream of the crop to bring back home to you..

If you read my last blog (here), you would have seen that we hand-picked a selection of trends that we think would be big for 2013. Not least of which is the revival of our firm favourite- denim! Never going out of style, denim jeans and jackets are everybody's first wardrobe staple, yet denim shorts, skirts and shirts are making a considerable comeback, with (heaven forbid) double denim making a long earned fashion return.

If Glastonbury was a fabric, denim would have to be it! Whether it's making a statement or simply staying comfy, everyone was wearing it! Denim dresses are everywhere at the moment and are the perfect festival fashion piece- worn on its own in the heat or with a jumper and tights in the cold, you can't go wrong with one of those and we've got a fantastic range, festival-ready on the Oxfam Online Shop here.

Dungaree's- long or short, are also making a comeback and are great for tackling the mud and the crowds at any festival. Giving a rough-and-ready vibe, vintage dunagree's can be teamed with classic pieces such as a well loved jumper or matched with a crop-top to instantly update your look. We love her retro glasses!

Skirts or shorts are teamed with crop-tops for 2013, in a nod to the 80's revival that has swept our highstreet! We love these bright tye-dye tee's, linking two leading trends together- denim and bright rainbow colours, which are cropping up as a major festival must-have... (See what I did there?)

Our Oxfam Festival Volunteer Jay picked out this denim shirt was one of his favourite pieces from the Isle Of Wight Festival, and it made the trip with him to Glastonbury! We wonder if it will make it to Latitude too...?

We've hand selected a selection of the best festival fashion pieces for you to grab before you head off for the summer, from sequins to shower-proofs, take a look here.

Stay tuned to the Oxfam Fashion Blog for more festival trends straight from the fields of Worthy Farm!
